The world outside and how it changed me mentally: part 1

I never intended to a blog or had any idea of what a blog would mean.  What I even discuss and what would be my focus.  Many blog's use their platform to try and push their products which I think is very smart and I wish I had the ability to push a product I believed in.  I worried that any blog I would write would push a product I didn't care about or used myself.  So I will write about things in my life.  Maybe something will develop and maybe it will evolve into something that can push my ideals and things I care about.  

I didn't know what the power of my mind could bring me.  I used to read many articles that would talk about how to fix this or how to fix that but all the articles were to focus on one thing in their life but it needs to be an all around growth.  Focusing on one thing can help the other things grow and it is what helped me.  I started with something small I committed to running a half marathon.  Yes lets not think about how running more than five miles was the longest I had ever ran, and I started this in December in Colorado.  So mentally I had to take on running longer distances than my body has ever experienced as well as running in snow and 10 degree weather.  

The first time I ran more than five miles it was actually six and it snowed four inches.  I wanted to prove to myself that I could that I can and I tried to not think about the eight miles I would have to run next week.  I took it as a job and not as a sojourn into the the outside world. 

It started a chain of events that led me to on a journey to self discovery and adventure.  The first step to a major change was to take on something that will test me mentally and physically and many things have followed in the ever changing landscape of self improvement.
